Rosie smiled widely as she got ready. She couldn’t believe Miles had actually asked her, of all the people he could have asked, on a date. It was so surreal for her to even be going on a date. She was never one to do the whole dating scene, but she figured if Miles was willing to try so should she. After jumping out of the shower she grabbed a little black dress, and bit her lip. She blow dried her hair and decided to let it fall in waves. Throwing on the dress she began to become nervous. It had hit that she never went on a date with someone she liked as much as Miles. What if she did something to mess it up? What if he never looked her way again? She tried to shake the thoughts out of her head as she applied a light coat of make up to her face but it only got worse. She shook her head and began to take off her shoes when there was a knock at the door.
Taking a breath she smoothed out her dress and slowly reached for the door knob. “Don’t be a pussy” she mumbled to herself turning the door knob, and opening the door to see Miles. She couldn’t help but smile at his appearance. He looked so handsome in his tuxedo. She blushed at his comment and looked down at her attire ” What? Too much? Too little?” she asked freaking out before the date had even really gotten started. “I can change” she added trying to reassure him that this wasn’t going to be a disaster if she fixed what she wore.
Miles shook his head from side to side as his eyes focused back upon her face. “You look stunning, Rose.”, he complimented, taking her hand in his and placing a small kiss onto the back side of it. The boy allowed her arm to fall gently back next to her side. Miles cleared his throat a bit more and held out the flowers he was holding. “I brought these for you.. Not for me. I mean you know I didn’t buy them for me. I don’t know what I’m saying.”, he said, a rosy color forming on his cheeks as he placed the bouquet of flowers into her arms, turning himself around so she couldn’t see. “You can put them up. I’ll wait.” The brunette started to swing his arms back and forth, feeling more awkward than ever at his lame choice of words.
Miles glanced over at her from the corner of his eye, watching as she disappeared around a corner inside of her dorm. The sound of water filling into a container could be heard. The boy took in another deep breath, using the time she was away to gather himself once more. Rosie soon appeared back at the door with a small purse in her hand. Miles smiled shyly and linked his arm with hers as they started walking their way outside towards where his car was. This was a part he didn’t really think much about. His car was complete shit and looked like something he picked up from a dump. “Fuck.”, he mumbled under his breath as he stopped for a moment. Miles rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand and gave Rose a reassuring smile signaling that he was okay. They finally found their way over to his vehicle and Miles opened the passenger side door for her, avoiding looking at her face to afraid to see her reaction to the piece of garbage in front of her.
